Program Support
Demand side management (DSM) programs including energy efficiency and demand response are playing an ever increasing role in the resource mix offered by Utilities and government agencies across the country. When effectively designed, implemented, and administered, DSM programs increase customer satisfaction, reduce operation costs, develop new sources of revenue, and provide environmental benefits in the form of reduced energy use and CO2 emissions. Over the past several years, MWE2's staff was utilized by all three California Investor Owned Utilities to design, implement, and administer DSM programs in the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector. These programs included the large customized incentive programs, deemed savings programs, and demand response curtailment programs. Several forms of technical support included facility assessments, energy savings assessments, project installation verification, and training seminars for Utility account representatives.
